My daughter Aabha goes to Festoon since January 19, as soon as she turned 2. It’s a Montessori based School and sending her to Festoon has been one of the best decision so far.
The School is new but the amount of preparation has gone into it, leaves you impressed. The staff is really good, polite, patient and always up for suggestions. The material they are having is also good. My advice for parents looking for joining their kids to a playgroup will be just visit Festoon once. The School will not disappoint you. Whether you want to take admissions for school or Daycare, the atmosphere and with the material provided there, your kid will never get bored. It will only boost their creativity and curiosity to learn and explore more.

Hi Festoon Team, The academic year with full of joy and learnings for my kid Satvik has gone by. I still remember when last year (around in March-April 2018) we as a parent were looking for good preparatory school for my kid. I had all the apprehension of going with a new set-up but also had lot of confidence in school management to give all the care and initial learnings to my kid. Tarun Mithran is my first kid and we enrolled him with in Festoon Montessori school, which is a new experience for us. Tarun was not comfortable, when he was away from home. Initial days we also had challenges to make him to go school, but now a days he has changed a lot and he is happy to start every day to school with happy face.
Handling the children are very challenging, But Festoon made it in cool way of handling children And children get their comfort zone, which makes them to participate in all the fun activities.
Festoon way of academic and fun learning activities are really appreciable. I would like to share another wonderful moment we enjoyed was sports day. It’s really amazing to see my son and other children were dancing as a team for the song. It’s not about only dancing, each kids are enjoying the moment in their way.

Sensorial
In the formative years, senses are the primary tools for development. They are windows to the world. Senses are not organs. They are the body’s awareness to the environment or the world outside. All senses are called as gateways to intelligence. Dr Montessori said, “There is nothing in the intelligence that was not previously in the senses.” Senses are the windows to the world.
Language
Language assistance is provided through activities of Enrichment of Vocabulary, meaning, to help the child to develop through his language quantitatively and qualitatively. Quantitative, meaning we provide them with more a large number of words. When you have known a large number of words, quantitatively, we can also understand better. If the language the children speak is qualitatively good, it helps children to express themselves better, with precision and moreover, we do not repeat words. We help, the child analyse his spoken language at the level of sounds, which is phonetic. At the level of the structure of the sentence, is logical analysis and at the level of words which is the role played by words in a sentence, is grammatical. We help him to classify and become aware and conscious of the language. We need to help the child to break the language into its components, which is to analyse the language at the basis of sentences, words and articulate sounds. Thus, we help the child to analyse the language which helps the child to become conscious of his language.
Dr. Montessori says for writing we need to help the child in two areas motor technical preparation including identify letters, formation, grasping of writing instruments and intellectual preparation being providing them with varied experiences. Exposure will happen only when the child has been given conditions for both direct and indirect preparation through motor technical and intellectual preparation.
Arithmetic
Mathematics is a very essential part of our life. So, it has to be offered in the right manner at the right time and for the right purpose. The intellectual mind grows and therefore awakening of the mathematical mind. The need for precision is the awakening of the mathematical mind. we help the child understand the symbols that are used for the numbers by our society. The association of the symbols and the names of numbers they signify is made possible with Sandpaper figures. The letters signify single sounds and the figures represent quantities.
We have to offer symbols for numbers from 1 to 9 which helps in recording specially the large numbers. Numbers more than 2 digits are called larger numbers.
The Decimal system, the four operations and fractions are offered to the children with the help of materials. This helps the children to make concepts.
